Community Association

Barr Village Community Association is made up of volunteers who give up their time to organise events and maintain various groups; they are committed to bringing people together, improving and enhancing village life. The Association plans such annual highlights as the themed Gala and Auchensoul Fell race

Barr Trails Day will take place on Sunday 28th May with Vintage Tractors to view, soup & rolls available from ‘Barr Teas’ in the Hall, refreshments, provided by Barr Bowling Club on the Balloch Trail with the Barr Parish Development Co. offering a comfort stop at the new lower Changue car park. Barr Stores will also be open for teas, coffees and cakes etc..

All Barr trails are open to the public as usual, a long guided walk round the Devil’s/Balloch route (approx. 8mls.) will set off 10.30am from the Village Hall. Barr Bikes will be cycling the Kirstie’s Cairn route and there will be a Village ‘tinies’ treasure trail for the little ones too!
